What is a brand?
A BRAND is the way a person feels when they interact with a business. Simple. How do you feel when you wear Nike? How do you feel when you walk into a Whole Foods?
Let's look at some of the structures around the brand and how they can shape that feeling.

What is a logo?
A logo is a flag. This is the best way to think about it. It's a flag you can fly "over" your products - it visually attaches itself to images and products and gains meaning OVER TIME through them.
Put a Nike swoosh on an image of a necklace, suddenly it's a sporty necklace. Put a Gucci logo on a potted plant, suddenly you can charge more. Why? Not the inherent meaning that those logos hold, but because they have gained meaning OVER TIME by association with sportiness or luxury.
So we need to remember, logos gain meaning OVER TIME by assosiation and repetition.
I believe logos should be appropriate, memorable, and simple - these are the philosophies I work from.

Brand assets:
Most of my clients are looking for more than a logo when it comes to their needs. They need a whole visual system they can build around.
I LOVE this, I love creating illustrations that evoke emotion, putting together types and colors and templates for social media. Clients need tee shirts and posters and napkins and straw wrappers.
This is where your brand starts to come together!

This depends on our agreement, but you'll be set with whatever you need to move forward. Wether it's a Canva folder filled with assets or a Dropbox folder, or some sort of files your printer is requesting.

What's it cost?
The client who comes to me with just a good idea for a restaurant and an opening day usually will spend around $4,000 to have me do a package that includes a logo, a website, menu design, business card design, tee shirts, and maybe a car wrap and table tents.
There's a lot to design when a business is just getting started and sometimes it can be more, sometimes less.
